#GivingTuesday Match Met

ATLANTA – December 7, 2021 – The Architecture Foundation of Georgia would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Shear Structural for providing a generous match to our #GivingTuesday donations this year. Shear Structural is Georgia’s only certified women-owned structural engineering firm. They consistently make strides to achieve their mission to positively impact the community and influence the built environment for the next generation. In addition to their contribution to the Architecture Foundation of Georgia, annually, they serve at least one pro-bono design project. Past years have included Empty Stocking Fund, Third Lens Ministries, Flux, and Atlanta Police Foundation @Promise Youth Center and discounted structural engineering services for non-profits such as Meals on Wheels Atlanta Historic District Development Corporation, and Grove Park Renewal. Shear Structural believes that one of the best ways to give back is by encouraging students and kids to consider architecture, engineering, and construction as viable career paths. Whether through career day presentations or innovative job site signage, they want to ensure our industry has a wide range of perspectives and backgrounds to address the challenges of the future of the built environment.

We appreciate the generosity of Shear Structural for matching $2,021.00 worth of donations this #GivingTuesday to help us continue impacting the lives of architecture students in Georgia!
