ATLANTA – December 2, 2022 – The Architecture Foundation of Georgia would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Shear Structural for providing a generous match to our #GivingTuesday donations this year. Because of their generous $2,022 match and our additional $3,000 raised, we are now $5,022 closer to our $23,000 goal to provide scholarships to the architecture students of the state and grant fueling innovation in the profession amongst the state.
Shear Structural is Georgia’s only certified women-owned structural engineering firm. Shear Structural has shown a commitment to the Architecture Foundation of Georgia and Giving Tuesday to help raise funds for students in need to meet the high cost of an architecture education. There remain barriers to entry for many qualified students regarding their post-high school education andShear Structural wants college to be accessible to all, regardless of income. It is an important part of the culture at Shear Structural to give back, and they are a proud goBeyondProfit member, which is a pledge to donate 10% of their profits back to the local community. We appreciate the generosity of Shear Structural for matching $2,022.00 worth of donations this #GivingTuesday to help us continue impacting the lives of architecture students in Georgia!
