Mike is Vice President, Planning & Design Support at Holder Construction Company, a multi-regional firm providing clients with construction management services through a with annual revenues of $2 billion. He is responsible for company-wide design collaboration–developing new systems, education and processes for working with design partners, trade contractors and owners.
He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and is an award winner in design, collaboration and technology, including the AGC ‘Best Information Technology Solutions’ (2007), and an AIA BIM Award (2006).
In 2012, Mike was elevated to the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows. A member of the 2009 AIA Technology in Architectural Practice national BIM Awards Jury, he is a top-rated keynote speaker and has published articles and presented numerous times on design collaboration and building information modeling.
Finally, Mike is a past Industry Advisory board member at Georgia Institute of Technology and Southern Polytechnic State University and serves on the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning’s Alumni Board of Governors. Mike’s current focus is managing more than 30 design firms in concurrent design and construction of the new $1.5 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium, opening in 2017.
