As a professional endeavor, the practice of Architecture is grounded in the idea that registered Architects will at a minimum protect the Health, Safety and Welfare of the public at-large in the structures we design. Georgia Secretary of State’s Office of Professional Licensing Board (SOSPLB) is the gatekeeper of these ideals and oversees the process of initial and reciprocal licensure through their board of volunteer registered members, with support from SOSPLB staff. Janice Wittschiebe and Kathyn Bedette will provide an overview of the history of this board, their strategic partnerships with allied organizations, and look to the future of licensure.
