The redesigned Atlanta office transforms traditional workspace into a vibrant hub for collaboration, culture, and community. Prioritizing flexibility and employee well-being, the design fosters dynamic engagement through open, light-filled environments and diverse work settings. Key highlights include the Social Stair, a multi-functional space promoting connectivity, and the Social Heart café, energizing workplace culture. Local artistry shines through a mural by Neka King and Re.Loom-crafted dividers, blending sustainability with visual storytelling. Unique amenities like a library lounge and music lounge inspire creativity, while panoramic skyline views and social spaces reflect the company’s commitment to an inclusive, people-centric workplace.

Design Challenge

The post-pandemic world has reshaped the workplace, blending flexibility with a renewed appreciation for office culture. The client has a unique work dynamic in which traveling and collocating for team collaboration are the norm. The design team was challenged to reimagine their Atlanta workspace as a vibrant, inclusive destination—a hub for teams to gather by creating a dynamic environment that fosters community and encourages employees to experience the true spirit of Atlanta.

The existing building core provided a blank canvas, offering the opportunity to revive underutilized spaces. Internal vertical connectivity became a priority, aimed at maximizing natural light, promoting employee health, and showcasing stunning skyline views.

Insights from focus groups and surveys highlighted a strong desire for diverse work settings, spaces for community events, and a deeper connection to local culture, music, and art. Social, active, and restorative amenities were prioritized to enhance the mental and emotional well-being of users while celebrating the client’s authentic spirit and their connection to the community they serve.
