2021 Educator of the Year: Hsu-Jen Huang Ph.D
Hsu-Jen is a professor and AIAS Faculty Advisor at Savannah College of Art and Design, where he has proudly served since 1998. He continuously uses his position to help shape and mold the future of the profession. Hsu-Jen has been instrumental in aiding students with their path to licensure and has been a constant source of positive reinforcement, encouragement, and knowledge to his students. As an accomplished artist himself, he has played a pivotal role in teaching students to cultivate their own unique ideas, and enhance and learn new drawing techniques. He has contributed immensely to the literature of the profession by publishing a vast amount of publications and books. He has consistently led the advancement of architectural education as regular contributor to the National Architectural Accrediting Board, serving on over 14 accreditation teams since 2007. Because of his selfless contribution to investing into the future of the profession, we honor him as the 2021 AIA Georgia Educator of the Year.
