Citizen Architect Matching & Placement System (C.A.M.P.S)

Many AIA members actively contribute to their communities by serving on government-appointed boards and professional committees — from the Department of Community Affairs to school or city design review commissions to national panels and allied organizations like NOMA. These roles enhance the presence and impact of architects in shaping the built environment.

MISSION STATEMENT: CAMPS is a tool developed by AIA Georgia to connect member leaders with meaningful opportunities to serve as Citizen Architects. This initiative plays a vital role in increasing the influence of architects within civic and professional spaces.

The CAMPS system includes a listing of current openings, but its real value lies in its matching feature. When you create a profile, CAMPS automatically notifies you if your credentials — such as Expertise, licensure, or level of position — align with any available opportunities.

CAMPS is designed to simplify the process of getting involved. Just submit your profile, and let the system connect you to service roles that fit your experience and interests.
