March 17, 2023: The Georgia General Assembly has been racing towards Sine Die, working through Legislative Days 32-35 this week. Many bills made a comeback this week such as HB 237, the sports betting bill, and HB 520, the Mental Health Parity Act. Many bills were also passed regarding virtual meetings of certain entities such as city councils.
March 10, 2023: The Georgia General Assembly has been racing towards Sine Die, working through Legislative Days 28-31 this week. The most eventful day of the week was Monday, Legislative Day 28, known as Crossover Day.
March 3, 2023: This week the Georgia General Assembly met Monday through Thursday for Legislative Days 24-27. The top issues for the week include a heated committee debate over an election omnibus bill, the Senate’s passing of Alyssa’s law, and updates on the Buckhead cityhood attempt.
